A Midsummer Night's Dream is a comedy play by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written between 1590 and 1596. It portrays the events surrounding the marriage of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and Hippolyta.
I've always enjoyed this story when I first read it in high school and years later when I saw it performed on the stage. Shakespeare uses sharp witted comedy and incredible writing in this work. Probably why it is one of his most performed plays across the world.
